For eleven consecutive years, the annual Benbrook Heritage Fest “Cowboy Roundup” is the highlight of the fall season in Benbrook. On Saturday, October 20, 2018, the event returns to Dutch Branch Park, offering a lineup of fun-filled activities, displays, and dance and music performances.
Fans of the family-friendly event will enjoy a day of performances on the main stage; featuring Fort Worth Scottish Pipes & Drums, Sallie’s School of Dance, Dixie Cloggers, and Ballet Folklorico de Fort Worth.
Heritage Fest celebrates diversity, culture, and community; this event has something for everyone! Activities include bounce houses, a petting zoo, miniature train rides, face-painting, balloon art, and a human foosball game!
Walk the grounds to explore a variety of arts and crafts vendors, an authentic chuck wagon, and festive games. Some activities are hosted by local non-profit organizations that may charge a nominal fee to participate. Proceeds benefit the non-profit.
Sunset Mountain Miniatures returns this year to showcase amazing performance horses. For those wanting to step back in time, the ‘Heroes of the Old West’ will reenact western gunfights and be on hand to share stories of life in the American West during the 19th century.
Native Pride welcomes visitors to enjoy stories of Native American culture, heritage, and lifestyles. Also, explore the Mexican Village and listen to Mariachi New Era perform.
